Dr. Coco Zhang has studied Chinese law at Tsinghua University in Beijing (LL.B.), European and German Law at the Frankfurt University（LL.M., Dr. iur) and served as a research assistant at the Institute of Intellectual and International Trade Law at the University of Florida, US. She used to delegate the Frankfurt University at the Competition of Willem C. International Commercial Arbitration (Moot Court) in Vienna with great achievement.  

Dr. Coco Zhang has been qualified as Chinese lawyer with the Grade of 439 in the Judicial State Exam of China, ranking top 5 in the year of admission. She has various practical experiences via training at the Higher Court of Hessen in Frankfurt a. M. as well as working at a prominent US law firm in Munich for years. She was designated as a columnist for the magazine "Ruled by Lawyers" published by the Supreme People's Procuratorate of China. Also, she completed the research project "Enforcement of Intellecutal Property Law in EU and China" at the Max-Planck-Institut for Intellectual and Competition law and lectured in "Chinese Economic Law" at the Munich University.  

Dr. Coco Zhang’s primary areas of practice include enforcement of Intellectual Property law, cross-border corporate M&A, Sino-Europe direct investment, commercial and company law. She has great experiences in immobilien investment cases, setting up firms, subsidiaries and representative office for foreign clients in Germany. She represents clients to develop a merger and acquisation strategy, drafts the asset or share purchase agreements, and especially counsels in technology transfer, patent and trade mark licensing within or without an aquisition.

In the area or IP enforcement she is specialized in negotiations, mediation by IP disputes such as at the international fair, dealing with the injunction order of the court, preserving evidence in IP rights infringement, claim for damage compensation and all the other provisional and precautionary measures.  

The mother tongue of Dr. Coco Zhang is Chinese. She speaks German and English fluently.
